FITCHBURG – A two-alarm fire damaged a two-family home at 175 Newtonville Ave. Wednesday afternoon.Deputy Fire Chief Anthony Marrama said there were no injuries, and said a dog and a cat were rescued from the blaze.The deputy chief said firefighters arrived around 1:50 p.m. to find heavy flames coming from the rear of the house.
