While lobstering in Cape Cod Bay this week, my son, Matt, and I came upon hundreds of birds — black backed gulls, laughing gulls, herring gulls, greater shear waters, and common terns — feeding just east of the Cape Cod Canal off Scusset Beach on enormous schools of sand eels.
