TRAVIS

TRAVIS_DEC.2014

Travis

Born and raised in Leominster, Massachusetts, Travis is a Leominster High graduate (Go Blue Devils!) and a graduate of Bridgewater State University (Go Bears!), where he discovered his love for radio. He spent four years living on the couch of the college radio station, WBIM, and hosting as many shows as physically possible. Rumor has it they had to pry him out of the DJ chair the morning of graduation. He went on to intern and later work for The Loren and Wally Show on WROR in a variety of roles and on-air at RadioYou Boston. His first morning show on-air gig began right here on WPKZ before heading south to Virginia to host an afternoon show on 92.9 Kickin’ Country (Yeehaw!). Being a glutton for punishment, Travis has moved back north because he missed New England winters. He’s also spent time on the south coast at Fun 107. Now he’s thrilled to join listeners on The K-Zone Morning Kommute every morning, discussing issues important to the area. In his spare time he enjoys hanging out with his dog Ollie (we aren’t sure if the feelings are mutual) and swing dancing at the Elks with the wifey.

SHERMAN WHITMAN

A  resident of Fitchburg,  Sherman has spent the last 5 years with WCRN AM 830 and  the past two years as the play by play voice of Worcester Bravehearts.   Prior to his time at WCRN, Sherman was part of the news and broadcast programming at WTAG in Paxton. Mass.;  and WBCN and WKLB in Boston.   Sherman will be responsible for bringing his experience and insight to the sports and local news reporting to the WPKZ morning show, and adding his voice and experience to the broadcast of local high school sports and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs.

BILL THOMAS

Bill Thomas

Bill Thomas

Bill Thomas is on the Daily Pulse on Monday and Friday. Bill loves all sports, but really enjoys NASCAR the most, the passion jumps out of the radio when he speaks about it. Bill is not limited
to the scope of sports though, he is opinionated in many aspects of daily life and not shy to share
his thoughts on any topic. During the High School football season, Bill works along side Todd Robbins and Kate Myer as they cover the Leominster Blue
Devils for Friday Night football action on WPKZ!
