GROTON — Fresh from “The Voice” season 22 and described as “perfect” by John Legend and “hypnotic” by Blake Shelton, Cara Brindisi is a vocalist with equal parts power and ease.
Brindisi will perform in concert from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at Town Field, located behind the Groton Public Library, 99 Main St.
“I am very excited to be back this year,” said Brindisi. “I was able to bring a performance last year as a solo acoustic performer. This year I will be part of a trio and sharing original songs that are soon to be released!”
Brindisi says she has been working really hard at writing and recording these tunes.
“I love being able to bring them to life and share them in a live setting,” she said. “August 17 is going to be a lovely time, I am looking forward to it.”
After a decade of performances that include direct support for Chris Isaak, Tower of Power, Adam Lambert, and Dispatch, Brindisi brought her talents to “The Voice” stage season 22, landing her a spot on Team Gwen.
Gwen Stefani acknowledged the soothing and effortless quality of her voice as well as her gift for story-telling.
Brindisi has been writing, recording, and performing original music for the entirety of her career, many of her songs inspired by her initial career as a music therapist.
Her studies at Berklee College of Music led her to pursue this work, predominantly with those at end of life in Hospice.
Somewhere between these two careers, the gentle and the glamour, lies the authentic feeling one is guaranteed when listening to Brindisi perform live in any type of setting.
Presented in partnership with Rollstone Bank, this program is supported in part by a grant from the Groton Public Library Endowment Trust.
