Westminster to hold walk-in flu clinic
WESTMINSTER — The Board of Health is hosting a walk-in flu clinic from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Meetinghouse School Gym, 8 South St.
The flu shots are available to town residents and town employees.
There will be a check-in process. Fill out the insurance form at https://bit.ly/3GJk03u to expedite check-in. Make sure you bring your insurance cards.
Park in the Westminster Elementary School parking lot and proceed to Meetinghouse School for check-in. Masks are mandatory.
Vaccine booster clinic being held in Fitchburg
FITCHBURG — The city will be offering several vaccine clinics over the next month.
From noon to 4 p.m. Friday, first and booster doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be offered.
Additional clinics will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 12, Nov. 19 and Nov. 24, with a vaccine that’s yet to be determined.

All clinics to be held in the Legislative Building, 700 Main St., which is next to City Hall.

Read to a therapy pet at the Fitchburg Youth Library
FITCHBURG — Be PAWSitive Therapy Pets and Community Education is delighted to welcome young readers to Fitchburg Youth Library, 610 Main St., Fitchburg, from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday for the popular “Read To A TheraPAWS Therapy Pet” program, which began in 2016.
Help your child improve their reading and volunteers can read stories to younger children. Children who read aloud improve comprehension and reading skills. Multiple pets will be available. Sportsmen’s Association will host fundraiser for veterans
LEOMINSTER — The Leominster Sportsmen’s Association, located at 1455 Elm St., will commemorate Veterans Day with a Rattle Battle Rifle and Pistol Plate match on Sunday.
First relay starts at 9 a.m. Cost is $10. Participants will be shooting the rifles in four-man teams and the pistols head-to-head at plate racks. Bring your buddies, your favorite rifle, sling, extra clips/mags and 50-100 rounds, and your pistol or revolver and 50 rounds (more if you’re a good shot). Any rifle or pistol is OK; 10-point bonus for competing with a U.S. Service Rifle.
Instead of prizes, proceeds will be donated to the Fisher House, a “home away from home” for the families of patients at military and VA medical centers.
