FITCHBURG — The annual Holy Trinity Greek Festival returns to the city on Friday and Saturday.
The festival will be taking place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, and from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free and parking is available at the Valley West shopping center and a shuttle will be available on Saturday.
On Saturday a live band will play all day and festival-goers are encouraged to come dance. From 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, local community “Floga” dancers will perform. There will also be a variety of traditional Greek food and specialty desserts available.
Activities for children include a bouncy castle and an opportunity to make slime. Cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and snow cones will be available.
Throughout the festival there will also be a 50/50 raffle with a $5,000 grand prize. Tickets are $100 and only 300 will be sold. There will also be themed baskets raffled off.
The festival is run by the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, at 1319 Main St.
