BURLINGTON — When they first began protesting at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office at 1000 District Ave. 10 weeks ago, Laurie and Jared Berezin were the only two people demonstrating. Now, as focus on the ICE facility grows amid reports of poor conditions for detainees inside, the Berezins demonstration has grown from just the couple, to about 150 people some weeks, with newcomers joining every “Bearing Witness” demonstration.
Groton Select Board calls for Healey administration to declare state of emergency in hospital closures
Joining other towns within the hospital’s area of coverage, the Groton Select Board voted unanimously Monday evening to support a resolution calling for Gov. Maura Healey to declare a state of emergency in the impending closure of Nashoba Valley Medical Center.

GROTON — Voters in Groton and Dunstable soundly rejected a proposed Proposition 2½ tax limit override, leaving their Select Boards and the Groton-Dunstable Regional School Committee facing a hard deadline of June 30 to have new fiscal 2025 budgets approved.
