Using a balanced attack, the North Middlesex Regional boys lacrosse team stormed past Lunenburg, 15-3, in Townsend on Monday afternoon.
Joe Williams paced the Patriots (4-2), scoring a game-high five goals, while Finn McNabb potted four of his own. Shaun Highley added a hat trick Mason Schultz scored twice and Braden Amidon had a goal in the victory.

Shea Gowtor scored all three goals for the Blue Knights (3-4).
Girls lacrosse
Bromfield 23, North Middlesex 11: Bella Young potted six goals and added an assist for the Patriots (2-5).
Baseball
North Middlesex 15, Quabbin 3: Cameron Haley went 3-for-3, driving in four and scoring three runs to lead the Patriots. Caden Kehoe added two RBI in the win, while Brady Reardon was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored.
Oakmont 10, Fitchburg 0: Jayden Downing drove in three runs for the Spartans (7-1), while Johnny Losordo (triple, two runs) and Isaiah Smith (2-for-4, run) each drove in a run as the hosts held the Red Raiders (4-3) to just one hit.
Softball
Ayer-Shirley 11, Gardner 8: Chole Woodward had three hits and three RBI to pace the Panthers (5-4).
Volleyball
Leominster 3, South Lancaster Academy 0. The Blue Devils (8-1) won by set scores of 25-23, 25-19 and 25-23.
Daniel Caetano had 14 kills and 12 service points — including four aces — to go along with five digs. Andy Truong had 24 assists, six service points and six digs in the victory, while Isaias Anziani had 15 digs and five service points.
Fitchburg 3, Ayer-Shirley 0: The Red Raiders won by set scores of 25-14, 25-19 and 28-26 to improve to 3-2 on the season.
Freshman outside hitter Lukas Biddle had three aces, a kill and a block for the Panthers (2-4), while junior right side and setter David Batchelor had four kills, two aces and three assists.
North Middlesex 3, Westford Academy 1: The Patriots got past the Ghosts with set scores of 27-25, 24-26, 25-22 and 27-25.
Boys tennis
Nashoba 3, Algonquin 2: Jesse Gjeltema and Philip Baykov earned singles wins for the Wolves, while the first doubles tandem of Brian Quill-Schuffels and Leo Lima bested Dave Burmeister and Elliott Fang, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1, to secure the victory.
Girls tennis
Algonquin 4, Nashoba 1: The first doubles tandem of Bella Constantino and Grace Hanley picked up the lone win of the afternoon for the Wolves, topping Caroline Dane and Riya Mahanta, 6-1, 3-6, 10-7.
Boys track and field
Parker 95, Monty Tech 40: First-place finishers for Monty Tech were Kyle Gendron in the javelin, Joe Cruz in the high hurdles, Jose Vera in the 400 hurdles and Christian Altomonte in the 800.
Girls track and field
Monty Tech 70, Parker 56: Monty Tech was led by freshman Katie Daykin, who took first in the triple jump, long jump, and 200 and was also part of the winning 4×100 relay team.
Freshman Cece Hall contributed two first-place finishes, winning the javelin and the 100. Other first-place finishers for the Bulldogs were Joy Ellsworth (high jump), Lily Chen (2 mile), and Holly Beaman (800).
