The Leominster boys lacrosse team came up on the losing end of a 13-7 contest at Westboro High on Thursday afternoon.
Gio Arman lead the Blue Devils with a hat trick, while Zack Warner-Senee added a pair of goals. Kegan Amarasinghe and Dom Carr each added single goals and Will Parker dished out three assists.
Nico Lapolla, Mike Halstead and Braden Martin each had an assist in the loss.
Volleyball
Bay Path 3, Ayer-Shirley 2: The Panthers (2-7) fell by set scores of 18-25, 25-21, 25-15, 24-26 and 15-5.
Junior outside hitter Miles Pyatt had 12 kills and a block in defeat, while junior right side and setter David Batchelor had 14 assists, six kills and two aces.
Girls tennis
Fitchburg 4, Gardner 1: Newcomer Melanie Arthur won her first varsity match, picking up the victory in third singles, while Luz Gomez took the first singles match. The first doubles duo of Gaby Liotta and Khanchana Nanthvongsa also won to lift the Red Raiders.
