The combination of Josh DiGeronimo and Joey Sabourin provided the offense for Nashoba Regional and the defense fended off a late surge by visiting Marlboro, as the hosts held on for a 14-7 victory at Nashoba Regional High School on Friday evening.
Sabourin pulled in a pair of touchdown passes from DiGeronimo, first scoring on a 14-yard completion before adding one from 30 yards as halftime loomed, giving Nashoba a 14-7 lead at the break.
Owen Fitzsimmons was 2-for-2 on point after attempts in the victory.
Both defenses stood tall in the second half, with Nashoba stopping Marlboro 12 yards short of the end zone as time expired to secure the win.
Nashoba improves to 4-0 during the Fall 2 season, with just a game against Tantasqua next Friday remaining on the schedule.
